Editor in chief

Since its beginning in 2009, Hidden Siberia has had the only Editor-In-Chief — award-winning journalist, author, script-writer and director Igor Severgin.

Philology graduate from Kyrgyz National University, he also majored in directing and public relations. During his 40-year career he has received 20 most prestigious national awards in print and broadcast journalism, in public relations and in film directing. Winner of the Russia’s Golden Pen national literary prize.

Igor Severgin is an author of more than 1,000 articles published in Russian newspapers and magazines, scriptwriter and director of Epilogue and The Last March TV movies. He wrote and directed a movie about the work of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, EBRD in Russia, created TV storylines for Russian and international news agencies, such as Reuters.

Since 2008 Igor Severgin is an Editor-in-Chief of Hidden Siberia Magazine. He played the major role in designing, defining and launching the editorial project, as well as Unknown Russia all-Russian Journalism Competition.
